About Longhorn Cavern State Park
Many stories and legends surround Longhorn Cavern. But geology is what makes it truly unique. Explore the cavern for yourself, just 1.5 hours northwest of Austin. The CCC cleared the cavern of debris, and built the facilities of this park and the scenic byway accessing it in the 1930s.
