About Yachats Ocean Road State Natural Site
Yachats Ocean Road State Natural Site features a one-mile loop offering sweeping views of Yachats Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The site provides limited parking and access to a broad, sandy beach ideal for casual recreation like sandcastles and frisbee.
The Yachats River flows into the ocean here, with anglers often fishing from the rocky outcrops at its mouth for Chinook salmon and rockfish. Shallow, sandy areas along the river are popular with children and dogs for wading and splashing.
