About Illinois River Forks State Park

Illinois River Forks State Park is a day-use park located at the confluence of the east and west forks of the Illinois River, accessible off Highway 199. The park features picnic tables, vault toilets, a short walking trail near the picnic area, and a 9-hole disc golf course. The surrounding Illinois Valley is a unique geologic region known for its rare plant species.

A life jacket loaner station is available at Heritage Landing, and visitors are advised to exercise caution due to swift currents and submerged obstructions. Picnic shelters can be reserved for groups of up to 50 people. Boaters should consult the Oregon State Marine Board’s Reported Obstructions and Alerts page for current water conditions.
