About Hoffman Memorial State Wayside
Hoffman Memorial Myrtle Grove is a shaded glen dominated by spectacular myrtlewood trees, a relative of the bay laurel. The grove offers a fragrant, immersive environment, with many visitors noting the pungent aroma of the leaves, which are sometimes used in cooking as a substitute for bay leaves. There is no drinking water available at the site.
