About Silver Lake State Park
Silver Lake State Park features nearly 3 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and 2,000 acres of sand dunes. The park includes a modern campground, a day-use area, a boating access site, and a 450-acre ORV area.
Little Sable Point Lighthouse, managed by the Sable Points Lighthouse Keepers Association, allows visitors to climb its 100-foot tower. Seasonal activities include fat-tire bicycling and horseback riding on the dunes, with guided dune tours offered in summer by Mac Wood's Dune Rides. Horseback riding is permitted on the shoreline during a special season from November 1–30, excluding Thanksgiving, with daily registration required.
