About Green Recreational Trail
The Green Recreational Trail is a 117-acre property adjacent to the Ninnescah River, leased by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks from Michael Smith, grandson of Bob Green, the original landowner and a respected member of the Pratt community. Several interconnected trails wind through a dense grove of trees, offering opportunities for hiking and wildlife viewing.
The trail is currently closed to drive-in traffic due to construction, and winter hours require closure before dark, with schedules subject to change. The project is supported by the Kansas Outdoor AmeriCorps Action Team and local volunteers.
