About Harriman State Park
Harriman State Park is located in Idaho and features Silver Lake, where a temporary construction dam may have been undermined, prompting on-site assessments by contractors, divers, and IDPR staff. Portions of the park are under construction from Labor Day through Halloween, with heavy equipment, dust, and noise present; visitors must stay on official trails and heed all signage and staff instructions.
The park offers year-round rentals for Cygnet, Ermine, and Wyethia Yurts, with Becker Yurt available May 15 to October 15—ideal for fall elk bugling. Other rental options include the Dormitory & Dining Hall, Bunk House, Ranch Office, and Scovel Center rooms. Day-use spaces like the Boys House and Scovel Education Center are available for meetings or private gatherings. Horseback riding is offered through Havilands Old West Adventures, with rides available by reservation. Pets must be on a six-foot leash and attended at all times in parking areas.
